The G7 X series has been popular among photography and film-making enthusiasts for many years. Thanks to the combination of a compact size, advanced functions, including the film-making ones, and the 180-degree-rotating screen, this models has become very popular among vloggers.

In the latest Canon G7 X Mark III, we get a 1’’ BSI-CMOS (13.2 × 8.8mm) sensor with the resolution of 20.1MP, supported by the DIGIC 8 image processor. The camera enables the maximum ISO sensitivity of 12800. What’s more, we also get the phase-detection autofocus, which should be characterized by precision, even while adjusting focus on the quickly-moving objects. In such situations, the modes enabling RAW saving with the speed of 30f/s (in the “burst“ mode, with the use of electronic shutter), or 8f/s with full autofocus support, will also prove useful.

When it comes to the optical system, similarly to the predecessor, we get a zoom with a universal range of focal length of 24-100mm (full-frame equivalent) and the variable light of f/1.8-2.8. The optical system consists of 11 elements placed in 9 groups.

With the use of the new Canon compact, we will be able to record material in 4K 30p (without crop) with the support of electronic image stabilization, or record slow-motion films with the speed of 120 f/s. What’s more, the camera enables live streaming, recording in the vertical mode (which makes it possible to create materials directly adjusted to the social media) and recording in the HDR mode.

After connecting PowerShot G7 X Mark III to a compatible mobile device, the camera will automatically receive information about the GPS coordinates for photographs, enabling the process of marking photographs in the multimedia gallery or social media.
