Eizo ColorEdge CG319X DCI-4K HDR Announcement

Eizo has announced a display, which is a successor of the CG318-4K model, presented in 2014. The display is targeted at professional graphic artists, photographers and filmakers, for which color science is a priority.

Eizo ColorEdge CG319X DCI-4K HDR, similarly to its predecessor, is equipped with the 31.1'' IPS sensor in the DCI-4K format (4096 x 2160 pixels), which offers the contrast of 1500:1 and the brightness of 350 cd/m2. The Adobe RGB gamut coverage is 99%, and the DCI-P3 space -  98%. The screen is also equipped with the display support and HDR (Hybrid Log-gamma function) material processing. The user can quickly switch between 9 gamuts (REC2020, REC709, DCI, PQ_DCI, PQ_REC2100, HLG_REC2100, Adobe RGB, sRGB).

Similarly to other displays of the ColorEdge series, the CG319X model has a built-in calibrator, which enables automatic calibration during work, and a thermometer (!) which makes it possible to correct the settings, depending on the ambient temperature.

When it comes to the connectors, the display has two HDI connectors, two DisplayPort connectors and three USB 3.0 connectors. In a set, we can also find a  protective hood.

The display is to appear on sale in May. The price has not been revealed yet but we can expect that it won't be low since the predecessor cost around $5,000 during its premiere.
