Fujinon XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR complements the family of compact fixed FujiFilm lenses, which consists of: XF 23mm f/2 R WR, XF 35mm f/2 R WR and XF 50mm f/2 R WR.

The tube of the lens has been made of metal and sealed in nine places, which makes it resistant to dust and splashes. Using the lens in low temperatures (up to -10°C) should also not cause any problems. The lens has the dimensions of 60 × 45.4mm and it weighs 155g. We will be able to mount the filters with the diameter of 49mm on its front.

The optical system of the lens is based on 10 elements placed in 8 groups, among which 2 are aspherical constructions.

The aperture consists of 9 blades and the nominal hole of f/2,8, which can be closed up to the value of f/22. The focal length has the equivalent of 24mm and ensures 83.2° angle of view.
