It is not the first time when Leica offers a limited series of its products. This time, the aesthetes and fans of the German brand will get 3 fixed lenses in unique color versions.
LEICA APO-SUMMICRON-M 50 f/2 ASPH
The lens’ design is to resemble classic constructions from the middle of the previous century. The limited version has been covered with a black chrome paint and the white and red marks at the lens’ body have been made by hand. A big and convenient focusing ring which, similarly to older constructions have been covered with the cavities which facilitate handling, attracts attention. The aperture ring is located a bit further than in modern constructions. The whole thing is crowned with the original sun shield.
1). Leica APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH

LEICA SUMMARON-M 28 f/5.6
The limited version of the smallest lens from the M Leica series has also been covered with the black chrome paint and all inscriptions and marks have been made by hand.
2). Summaron-M 28mm f/5.6, Summilux-M 28 f/1.4 ASPH
The optical system of the lens consists of 6 elements placed in 4 groups. Sharp photographs can be taken from the distance of 1m and the aperture can be closed up to the value of f/22. The tube of the mini-lens has the connectors through which we will be able to send the EXIF data to the camera. The lens will be available in 500 copies.
LEICA SUMMILUX-M 28 f/1.4 ASPH
Here, the only novelty is the coloring of the lens, which has been covered with the silver anodized paint. The owners of the lenses from the Leica M system in the same colors have a chance to complete a uniform set.
3). Summilux-M 28 f/1.4 ASPH
The lens has been constructed based on 10 elements placed in 7 groups. Among them, there is an aspherical lens which will positively influence, for instance, the dimensions and weight of the device. The use of lenses which change the position during focusing should result in the improvement of the quality of photographs taken from close distance. Sharp photographs can be taken from the distance of 70cm. 300 copies are to appear on sales worldwide.
The lenses are to appear on sales at the end of February 2019 and their prices, as could be expected from the limited Leica products, are as follows:
