Meike has presented a new MK 85mm f/1.8 MF lens with the Sony E mount, which may satisfy the photographers with a very limited budget.
The optical system is based on 9 lenses placed in 6 groups, with the 9-blade aperture. The minimum focus distance is 85mm and the lens is manual.

The filters with the diameter of 67mm can be mounted on the front lens and the camera's body has been made of plastic. MK 85mm f/1.8 MF is not sealed.
As for now, the price of the lens is not known yet, but taking into account the fact that the reflex version with the AF motor costs almost $200, we can expect that the cost of the manual version will be much lower.

New manual Samyang MF 85mm f/1.8 ED UMC CS lens with the equivalent of 135mm is dedicated to the users of cameras with the APS-C sensor, namely: Sony E, Fujifilm X and Canon EOS M.
The optical system of the lens consists of nine elements placed in seven groups. Among them we will find one lens with high refractive index and one low-dispersion lens. Covering the lenses with UMC coatings should minimize light reflections and chromatic aberration. The producer assures that new Samyang is to ensure high resolution within the whole frame as well as good contrast and color reproduction.

The lens is fully manual, which means that the control is provided by physical rings which regulate aperture and sharpness. Depending on the camera's system on which we are going to mount the lens, its equivalence will be 127 to 136mm. Sharp photographs with the use of the lens can taken from the distance of 65cm, the aperture consists of nine blades and the filters with the diameter of 62mm can be mounted on the front lens. The lens is not big since it's only 8cm in length and it weighs 344g.
New Samyang will be available on sale at the beginning of September and it will cost $399.
