    Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 G Announcement

Together with the FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM lens, Sony also presented a second one – this time, a super wide-angle FE 12-24mm f/4 G zoom, which is, at the moment, the widest lens of the producer. The lens is mainly intended for interior, architectural and landscape photography, and it should also fulfil its role in recording films.

The optical lens of Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 G consists of 17 elements placed in 13 groups. Advanced aspherical lenses (4 elements) as well as low-dispersion ones (4 elements) have been applied. Nano AR coating as well as the fluorine coating of the front element have been used.

The lens is equipped with a smaller, 7-blade aperture, and only one ultrasonic DDSSM motor is responsible for adjusting focus.

The lens is sealed and it weighs 566g, having the dimensions of 87x117mm. These are really compact dimensions for a full-frame lens with such parameters.

Sony FE 12-24 mm f/4 G is to appear on sale in July and it will cost $1700.

Sony has presented yet another version of its top camera in the universal version - a7 III model.

The latest generation of the successor of a7 II is supposed to be the nail in the coffin of DSLR's  - at least, that's what the most devoted fans of the company say ;-) However, we can be sure that the price-possibilities ratio should attract all of the undecided people who want to check mirrorless Sony cameras.

      1). Sony A7 III
The camera is equipped with a new 24.2Mp BSI CMOS Exmor R sensor, which is to offer the 15-grade dynamic system and better color reproduction. The sensor can also work within the ISO sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200 (which can be extended to ISO 50-204 800). The sensor has, of course, 5-axis stabilization with the effectiveness of 5 EV.

The BIONZ X processor enables work with the speed of 10f/s (8f/s in the electronic shutter mode) and saving up to 177 JPEG photographs and 89 RAW photographs during ones shooting. In contrast to the predecessor, we can use the menu while processing photographs.

      2). Sony A7 III
The autofocus is an effective system based on 693 phase-detection points and 425 contrast-detection points, which cover 93% of the frame. The autofocus is supposed to effectively track the eye of the photographed person in the continuous shooting mode AF-C.

      3). Sony A7 III
As could be expected frorm the Alfa series, the camera is also equipped with advanced video functions. It enables full-frame video recording in 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) with the speed of 30f/s (unfortunately, not 60f/s). We also have flat profiles S-Log 2 and S-Log 3 at our disposal, which give us more possibilities of color grading in post production.

In addition, we can record Full HD files with the speed of 120f/s, the bit rate of 100 Mb/s and full autofocus support, which enables the recording of films in 5x slow motion. We can also use the HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) profile, which facilitates the creation of HDR films.

      4). Sony A7 III
When it comes to the construction, the new model is almost identical to Sony a7R III. The body is fully made of magnesium and it has new seallings. We have a 3'' LCD touch screen, which cannot be used to browse through menu. The 2.36Mp electronic viewfinder is known from the previous version (a7R III has been equipped with the 3.6Mp viewfinder).

Besides that, we have a new SD memory card slot and an additional USB-C connector, which can be used to power and charge the camera.

It is also worth mentioning new buttons and a knob, which are much more precise than they used to be.

      5). Sony A7 III
The new Sony a7 III will appear on the market in April. Its price is very attractive - $1999 for the body and $2200 in a set with the 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS lens.
Tokina Fírin 20mm f/2.0 FE AF is a fixed lens which has been designed having in mind a full-frame Sony E system. The first version of the lens had the same parameters but it was not equipped with the autofocus. This version will not disappear from the market but it will be a manual alternative of the lens.
Inside the new lens, we will find an advanced optical system consisting of 13 elements placed in 11 groups. Among them, we will find two aspherical lenses and three super-low dispersion lenses, whose task is to minimize aberration and image distortion.  In addition, the lenses have been covered with anti-reflective coatings.

The lens is equipped with the 9-blade aperture, which can be regulated within the scope of f/2 to f/22.

      1). Tokina FíRIN 20mm f/2.0 FE AF
An ultrasonic motor, supported by GMR sensor, is responsible for focusing. As a result, we can enjoy a quick and quiet image re-focusing, from the minimum distance of 28 cm.

The body of Tokina FíRIN 20mm f/2.0 FE AF is made of metal. The tubus, with a very attractive look, has the dimensions of 73.4x81.5mm and it weighs 469g. The lens is to appear on sale at the end of May. We don't know its price yet.
Lenses with the focal length of 70-200mm are one of the most popular zooms on the market. The leading producers have already introduced the cheaper versions of very popular bright lenses with the aperture of f/2.8. Now it's time for Tamron.

The optical system of Tamron 70-210mm f/4 Di VC USD consists of 20 lenses placed in 14 groups, including 3 low-dispersion elements. The lens is also equipped with a 9-blade aperture, which, in connection with the long focal length, enables beautiful background bokeh.

      1). Tamron 70-210mm f/4 Di VC USD
The lens is equipped with the ultrasonic ring AF motor, which, when it comes to the effectiveness and speed of operation is supposed to match the best constructions on the market. Similarly to the majority of the 70-200mm lenses, it possesses an internal focusing mechanism, thanks to which it does not change its size.

The lens has the image stabilization system with the effectiveness of 4 EV.

      2). Tamron 70-210mm f/4 Di VC USD - Construction

The body of the lens is made of aluminum. Similarly to other new Tamron lenses, this one is also fully sealed against dust and weather conditions.  In addition, the front lens has been covered with a fluorite coating, thanks to which dust and moisture do not stick to it as easily.

Optionally, we may purchase a tripod mounting with an integrated Arca-Swiss footer.

      3). Tamron 70-210mm f/4 Di VC USD - Seallings
The new Tamron 70-210mm f/4 Di VC USD has the dimensions of 176x76mm and it weighs 860g. The filter diameter is the popular 67mm. The lens will be compatible with the 1,4 x and 2,0 x teleconverters. Similarly to the latest lenses from the producer's offer, it will be also compatible with the TAP-In Console platform, thanks to which we will be able to micro-adjust the AF system and image stabilization as well as update the lens software.

The lens will appear on the market on 26th April, in the versions with the Canon EF and Nikon F mounts and it will cost $800.
