The crucial parts of new Tamron 100-400 mm F/4.5-6.3 Di VC USD are made of magnesium, which is to positively influence its resistance and weight. The lens is also ultra-light, taking into consideration its performance - it weighs only 1.115 g.

New Tamron is fully sealed and the front lens is fully covered with fluorine coating, which is to hinder dirt and dust adhesion. Apart from that, the lens is equipped with a removable tripod mount, which is compatible with Arca Swiss.

As for now, this is all information that the producer has shared with us. Tamron 100-400 mm F/4.5-6.3 Di VC USD should appear on sale at the end of the year in the versions for Nikon and Canon systems. We don't know its price yet.

Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 is a successor of the SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD model, presented in 2012, which for many years has been a great alternative to much more expensive lenses of producers such as Nikon and Canon.

The optical system of new Tamron consists of 17 lenses placed in 12 groups. It includes 2 XR elements with high refractive index, 3 low-dispersion ones, 3 aspherical GM lenses and one hybrid apsheric lens. eBand Coating, the technology which improves anti-reflective effectiveness and working against the light, has also been used. The front lens is covered with fluroide layer, which makes it easier to remove dirt from its surface.

Tamron SP 24-70 mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 is equipped with dual MPU processor, which is responsible for the whole control system, including image stabilization and USD motor. Thanks to that, the autofocus should be much faster and more precise than in the older model. The minimum focus distance is supposed to be barely 15" (38cm).

When it comes to design, the new model matches other lenses from the whole Tamron series. The lens is, of course, sealed.

Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 is to appear on sale in the second half of July 2017. It will cost around $1200.
