Tamron's offer has just got expanded by an interesting lens – ultra wide-angle 17-35mm f/2.8-4 Di OSD zoom, which is supposed to mainly interest travel and landscape photographers, due to its possibilities.
The optical construction consists of 15 elements placed in 10 groups. Among them we will find four LD lenses, whose task is to minimize axial chromatic aberration, and two GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lenses. This model is also equipped with the advanced technology of BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coatings, which are to efficiently minimize light reflection, in this way enabling the control and reduction of any light leaks and flares within the whole focal length range.
What is more, the surface of the front optical element has been covered with fluorine, which has perfect water and oil repelling properties. Thank to this, the front lens should be easier to clean and less susceptible to dirt.
