Tamron SP 15–30mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 has been constructed based on numerous low-dispersion lenses and aspherical XGM lenses. They are also covered with anti-reflective coatings, which is to minimize distortion, chromatic aberration and light reflection.  The front lens has been covered with the fluorine coating, which is to hinder dirt. The optical system of the lens consists of 18 elements placed in 13 groups.  The producer assures that the new lens will enable full utilization of the high resolution sensors' possibilities.

Tamron's offer has just got expanded by an interesting lens – ultra wide-angle 17-35mm f/2.8-4 Di OSD zoom, which is supposed to mainly interest travel and landscape photographers, due to its possibilities.

The optical construction consists of 15 elements placed in 10 groups. Among them we will find four LD lenses, whose task is to minimize axial chromatic aberration, and two GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lenses. This model is also equipped with the advanced technology of BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coatings, which are to efficiently minimize light reflection, in this way enabling the control and reduction of any light leaks and flares within the whole focal length range.

What is more, the surface of the front optical element has been covered with fluorine, which has perfect water and oil repelling properties. Thank to this, the front lens should be easier to clean and less susceptible to dirt.

Tamron has also equipped its new lens with a rounded 7-blade aperture – f/2.8 at wide angle 17 mm and f/4 at 35mm. It can be closed up to the value of f/16 (17mm) and f/22 (35mm).

When it comes to the autofocus, the lens applies OSD (Optimized Silent Drive), in order to ensure quiet work. Thanks to innovative system optimization, which involves the AF speed reduction gear, new Tamron can significantly reduce the noise of the drive, in comparison to conventional types of autofocus.

      3). Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8-4 Di OSD

New ultra wide-angle Tamron zoom has the dimensions of 84 x 93mm and it weighs 460g, which makes it one of the smaller zooms in its class. The construction is sealed and is supposed to be resistant to splashes and dust.

Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8-4 Di OSD with Nikon mount is to appear on sale in September, whereas the model with Canon mount will be available in the last quarter of the year. The lens will cost $599.
