Sigma announced a new version of the ultra compact full frame fp L. The new model will be equipped with a 61 Megapixel full frame sensor, hybrid autofocus and true 24p video recording. The camera also fully supports USB Power Delivery. Optionally, a new electronic viewfinder will be available, which can be attached to the side of the camera. There is a microphone connector on the AVF - but we won't find it on the camera itself. On the side we find USB and HDMI ports - the USB port supports pass-throu. Electronic viewfinder has 3.68 million dots and 0.36x magnification - the viewfinder can be rotated. Switching between the camera's main screen and EVF is performed manually. The Sigma FP L is the smallest camera in its class, dimensions are: 113 x 70 x 45mm (4.4 x 2.8 x 1.8 ") and weight 427g (13.2oz) including battery and memory card. The camera is sealed against dust and moisture. Due to its small size, the camera is equipped with electronic shutter which resulted in 1/15 sec flash sync speed. Fp L records video in UHD 4K 30p and can save 12-bit Cinema DNG Raw to external SSD. Depending on which recorder is connected to the camera, it can be saved via HDMI in ProRes RAW or Blackmagic RAW formats. FullHD recording at 120fpf is available though with a crop. The Sigma fp L camera will go on sale in mid-April for $2499 for the body only or $2999 with EVF. The EVF-11 itself will cost $699 - it will be compatible with the original fp.
