Members Martin Vronsky
Quote Sometimes what you really want is a flash that’s small in size and light in weight and that sounds exactly like a Speedlight. A perfect example of this is beauty lighting which traditionally makes use of a boom arm to extend the light above your camera. But if you’ve ever tried to do this with a large studio flash you’ll know all that extra power means a whole lot of extra weight. In this video photographer, Gavin Hoey uses two Flashpoint Speedlights and a lightweight Glow softbox to create three looks that all make use of beauty lighting in different ways. Gavin starts with the classic beauty light combo of an elevated flash with a reflector below. He then adds some simple styling to the scene and ends with a one-light beauty light look.
