Sigma surprised us all with their very compact new ultra-wide zoom, the 16-28mm F2.8 DG DN Contemporary. We took it for a long walk through downtown Calgary to see if there are any trade-offs for the portability.

New from Sigma is the 16-28mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary Lens! This ultra wide zoom is a versatile lens and perfect for landscapes, events, architecture and travel. The image quality is impressive, with edge to edge sharpness, minimal aberrations and smooth, circular bokeh. Combined with the 28-70mm f/2.8, this kit would be great for everyday use, as both lenses are compact and lightweight!

Price: $899 / £749.99. Here we see Sigma broadening yet further their excellent range of 'DG DN' lenses for full-frame mirrorless cameras, this time with a more affordable ultra-wide zoom optic that could be of serious interest to demanding photographers on a lower budget. Let's check it out.
