  20. Nikon AF-P Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR is a long-awaited successor of a popular full-frame zoom Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G VR from 2006. The optical system of the new lens consists of 18 elements placed in 14 groups. Among them we will find one ED lens, whose task is to efficiently reduce chromatic aberration. The system is stabilized and, as the producer promises, the VR system's effectiveness will be around 4.5 EV. Image stabilization has two modes of work: normal and sports. 1). Nikon AF-P Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR The autofocus has also undergone substantial changes. The new Nikon zoom uses a more advanced step motor (marked by the letter P), which is supposed to be quiet, precise and fast. The minimum focus distance is 47" (1.2m). Inside the new lens, we will also find a 9-blade electromagnetic aperture which is to guarantee stable, automatic exposure adjustment – also during fast continuous shooting. 2). Nikon AF-P Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR Construction Nikon AF-P Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR is more compact than its predecessor. The new construction's dimensions are 5 3/4in (146 x 81mm) and it weighs 680g. The lens is sealed and resistant to weather conditions. This may be of special importance while photographing outside. Unfortunately, we don't know when the new lens is going to appear on sale, but we know its price. Nikon AF-P Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR will cost $700, which is a very attractive price since it is only $200 more expensive than its predecessor. And, as we already know, Nikon can surprise us when it comes to this aspect... Below is the official press release:
  21. Leica TL2 Announcement

Leica TL2 is the next version of Leica T (type 701) which was presented in the middle of 2014. The camera has been equipped with a new improved 24Mp CMOS sensor, which is 8Mp bigger than its predecessor. What's more, the sensor is supported by a newer generation processor Maestro II, thanks to which the camera should be faster and more efficient. The ISO range is 100-5000, which is a huge improvement when compared to the predecessor which enabled us to take photographs with the maximum ISO sensitivity of 12500. It is also worth mentioning that the new Leica camera gives a possibility of recording films in 4K, with the maximum speed of 30f/s. 1). Leica TL2 When it comes to shutter speed, in the new model it enables us to take photographs with the speed of 7f/s, and if we use the electronic shutter – up to 20f/s. The autofocus is based on contrast detection and has 49 AF points. In the newest model, it is supposed to adjust focus with the speed up to 165m/s. 2). Leica TL2 When it comes to design, the new camera is slightly different than its predecessor. The whole back panel is 3.7'' LCD touch screen, without any buttons. TL2 also has a more profiled handle, which should influence the handle's reliability in a positive way. The camera's menu has also undergone some changes – it is supposed to be more user-friendly now. In addition, Leica TL2 has 32GB of built-in memory. 3). Leica TL2 The camera presented today is already available on sale in two color versions: silver and black. This model will cost $2000.
  22. Canon EOS 200D Announcement

The next camera presented by Canon is EOS 200D – a much-awaited EOS 100D's successor. The new version, similarly to its predecessor, is an ultra-compact reflex camera, which weighs merely 453g. Yet, as for a budget camera, it's pretty well-equipped. The main element of the camera is CMOS (APS-C) sensor, with the resolution of 24Mp (its predecessor had 18 Mp). The sensor is supported by the latest generation DIGIC 7 processor, whose function is to, among other things, improve the overall efficiency of the camera. The camera enables us to shoot photographs within the ISO range of 100-25600, which can be extended to 51200. The new Canon makes it possible to take photographs with the speed of 5f/s (single mode) or 3.5f/s (continuous mode). 1). Canon EOS 200D The autofocus, Dual Pixel AF, is known from other newest models and it combines phase and contrast detection. However, this is not the same version which was used in the higher-level models, since in the new 200D we only have 9 AF points to choose from. When it comes to film-making functions, as we could have expected, we do not have a possibility of recording films in 4K, but only in Full HD (60f/s). 2). Canon EOS 200D What's more, the camera is equipped with a 3'' touch screen (fully swiveling and rotating), with the resolution of 1.040.000 points. We can also connect the camera with mobile devices, via Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth. 3). Canon EOS 200D Canon EOS 200D should appear on sale in August 2017 in two color versions – black and silver. It will cost around $550 (for the body) or around $700 (in the set with 18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM lens).
  23. Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Announcement

Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 is a successor of the SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD model, presented in 2012, which for many years has been a great alternative to much more expensive lenses of producers such as Nikon and Canon. The optical system of new Tamron consists of 17 lenses placed in 12 groups. It includes 2 XR elements with high refractive index, 3 low-dispersion ones, 3 aspherical GM lenses and one hybrid apsheric lens. eBand Coating, the technology which improves anti-reflective effectiveness and working against the light, has also been used. The front lens is covered with fluroide layer, which makes it easier to remove dirt from its surface. 1). Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Tamron SP 24-70 mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 is equipped with dual MPU processor, which is responsible for the whole control system, including image stabilization and USD motor. Thanks to that, the autofocus should be much faster and more precise than in the older model. The minimum focus distance is supposed to be barely 15" (38cm). 2). Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 When it comes to design, the new model matches other lenses from the whole Tamron series. The lens is, of course, sealed. Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 is to appear on sale in the second half of July 2017. It will cost around $1200.

  25. Canon EOS 6D Mark II Announcement

Canon EOS 6D Mark II has possibly been the most awaited Canon reflex camera this year. For many users, it has also become the greatest disappointment of the year. The first version of the camera, which was a hit in 2012, proved to be useful in almost every form of photography. It was also commonly used by video-makers. That's why the expectations were very high, especially taking into consideration the fact that 6D fans have waited for an upgrade for almost 5 years. The heart of a new Canon is 26-megapixel CMOS sensor, supported by the DIGIC7 processor, which is the fastest one in the producer's offer. Thanks to such a combination, we can take photographs with ISO sensitivity reaching 40.000 (expanded to 102.400) and the speed of 6.5 f/s. 1). Canon EOS 6D Mark II The camera, such as 5D Mark IV, has been equipped with a 45-points AF system (all cross-type points). What's more, in Live View mode we will be able to use a highly-rated Dual Pixel AF system, based on phase-detection sensor pixels. On the outside, the camera looks almost identical to its predecessor. A novelty in the design is a rotating 3'' LCD touch screen with the resolution of 1.04 Mp, which will surely make filmmakers happy. 2). Canon EOS 6D Mark II Apart from that, the camera is equipped with wireless communication module (Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth) and GPS. The housing is, of course, sealed. A big disappointment is the lack of dual memory card slot. The camera handles only one SD card. This slightly disqualifies it from purely professional usage, such as wedding photography. The second issue will for sure not make filmmakers happy. The camera does not record films in 4K – we only have a possibility of recording in Full HD, with the speed of 60f/s. It's a little strange since a large group of customers is constituted by video photographers and competitive companies mount this function in all cameras within this price range. 3). Canon EOS 6D Mark II The camera will appear on sale at the beginning of August and it will cost $1999 for the body, or $2599 and $3099 in the sets with EF 24-105mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM or EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM lenses.
  26. Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Announcement

Tamron, just like Sigma, is surprising its customers with a number of premieres and new products introduced on the market. Sigma has dominated the last weeks but now Tamron is taking over, presenting a “very” universal zoom lens Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD with huge focal length 18-400mm (for APC sensors). The lens is perfect for traveling, and many enthusiasts of portrait or sports photography will also find it useful. Inside the lens, we will find the optical system consisting of 16 lenses placed in 11 groups. We also have the image stabilization system at our disposal, which will for sure prove useful during taking photos at long focal lengths (effectiveness of around 2.5 EV). The 7-blade aperture is to take care of image vividness. 1). Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD An advanced HLD (High/Low torque modulated Drive) motor has been used to control autofocus. It is a new construction, in which the emphasis is put on smooth transitions from low to high speed, ensuring at the same time quiet, fast and precise focusing. Minimum focus distance is 45cm. Plastic housing of Tamron 18-400 mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD is sealed and its design is similar to the lenses from the refreshed series, just like in the case of Sigma lenses. 2). Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD For such an impressive focal length range, the lens is exceptionally compact. Its length is 123.9mm and its weight – 710g. Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD will be available with Canon and Nikon mounts. It should appear on sale at the end of July and it will cost around $650.
  27. Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 Announcement

Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 is yet another Zeiss lens which enlarges the series of manual lenses intended to be used with full-frame Nikon and Canon cameras. Professional Milvus family are designed to work without any problems with the cameras having high resolution sensors. Inside the new 35 model, we will find 14 optical elements placed in 11 groups, including 5 lenses made of special glass and one aspherical element. Such an advanced optical system should translate into the above-average image resolution, high contrast and proper color transfer. Thanks to the use of special elements, chromatic aberration is almost non-existent in this lens. What's more, due to anti-reflection coatings, the lens should fulfill its role perfectly in the contrasting lighting conditions. 1). Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 Thanks to f/1.4 aperture, we will be able to successfully separate a photographed object of its background and achieve bokeh as well as the malleable blur of out-of-focus parts. The minimum focus distance is 30 cm. The advanced optical system has been enclosed in the tube made of metal, which is additionally sealed against the influence of weather conditions. 2). Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 will be available on sale with Nikon and Canon mounts already in July this year. It will cost around $2000.
