  4. Sigma 45mm f / 2.8 DG DN Contemporary is a lens which is supposed to provide a combination of high resolution and soft blur of the background. Thanks to its small dimensions it can turn out to be an extremely universal glass. Its characteristic feature is to be a smooth image blur at the maximum aperture value, making it an ideal constant for everyday use in various conditions. In addition, special emphasis was also placed on the quality of workmanship and convenience of use. 1). Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary The lens optics were developed on the basis of 8 elements, which were located in 7 groups. Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN with a focal length of 45mm offers a 51.3 ° viewing angle, a maximum magnification of 1: 4 and a minimum focusing distance of just 24cm. These parameters in combination with a 7-bladed circular aperture with a nominal aperture of f / 2.8 should provide exceptional vividness of the image with creamy bokeh. 2). Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary In addition, the lens is characterized by fast, quiet and accurate AF in photo mode. In addition, as provided by the manufacturer, the stepper motor is also expected to work optimally with film mode and face and eye detection functions.
  5. Sigma likes to surprise and despite the fact that the company's cameras are quite niche products, it constantly develops them. The L system has been extended to include a very interesting camera, which is currently the smallest and lightest system full frame camera on the market. 1). Sigma FP - Front The camera is equipped with a 24.6 million BSI CMOS sensor with a traditional Bayer filter that will allow you to work in the ISO 100-25600 range, which will be further expanded to ISO 6-102400. 2). Sigma FP - Back The camera has not been equipped with any type of mechanical shutter - everything is done here based on an electronic shutter. As a result, we get a serial mode with a speed of 18 fps. The system itself was based, unfortunately, only on contrast detection, but if thanks to cooperation with Panasonic Sigma it was possible to gain access to DFD technology. In addition, the camera will allow the recording of 12-bit video in RAW (DNG) format at 4K resolution at 24fps. We can get such possibilities when using external recorders. 3). Sigma FP - Top However, the new Sigma is more than just an interesting specification and small size. The manufacturer presents the new model as a camera that breaks down barriers and gives users unprecedented freedom. To support your words, soon there will be a number of optional accessories and modules extending the body, including grips, viewfinder for the LCD screen or lamp holders with hot shoe. So maybe in the future we will also see the optional electronic viewfinder. Users will certainly be pleased by the fact that the body has been completely sealed against dust and splashes. The new Sigma FP is expected to appear on the market this fall.

  10. The G7 X series has been popular among photography and film-making enthusiasts for many years. Thanks to the combination of a compact size, advanced functions, including the film-making ones, and the 180-degree-rotating screen, this models has become very popular among vloggers. In the latest Canon G7 X Mark III, we get a 1’’ BSI-CMOS (13.2 × 8.8mm) sensor with the resolution of 20.1MP, supported by the DIGIC 8 image processor. The camera enables the maximum ISO sensitivity of 12800. What’s more, we also get the phase-detection autofocus, which should be characterized by precision, even while adjusting focus on the quickly-moving objects. In such situations, the modes enabling RAW saving with the speed of 30f/s (in the “burst“ mode, with the use of electronic shutter), or 8f/s with full autofocus support, will also prove useful. When it comes to the optical system, similarly to the predecessor, we get a zoom with a universal range of focal length of 24-100mm (full-frame equivalent) and the variable light of f/1.8-2.8. The optical system consists of 11 elements placed in 9 groups. 1). Canon G7 X Mark III With the use of the new Canon compact, we will be able to record material in 4K 30p (without crop) with the support of electronic image stabilization, or record slow-motion films with the speed of 120 f/s. What’s more, the camera enables live streaming, recording in the vertical mode (which makes it possible to create materials directly adjusted to the social media) and recording in the HDR mode. 2). Canon G7 X Mark III The camera has been equipped with a touch, selfie-rotating 3’’ TFT LCD screen with the resolution of 1,040,000 points and the 3.5mm microphone input. At our disposal we also have the in-built ND filter, the uncompressed HDMI output, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and the pop-up flash. After connecting PowerShot G7 X Mark III to a compatible mobile device, the camera will automatically receive information about the GPS coordinates for photographs, enabling the process of marking photographs in the multimedia gallery or social media. 3). Canon G7 X Mark III Canon G7 X Mark III will appear on sale in August and it will cost $749. The camera will be available in two color versions – silver and black.

    Sigma FP

Sigma FP is a very interesting proposition from a company mainly specializing in the production of high-class lenses. This camera breaks barriers, being the smallest and lightest camera on the market today, introduces quite modest modularity to photography, which was previously reserved only for video cameras. The camera has also been deprived of a mechanical shutter, which is a very bold move on the part of Sigma.  TABLE OF CONTENTS Quick Links Quick Info Description Photos of the Camera Video Review Comparison with Similar Cameras Full Technical Specification Image Samples Video Sample Full Review Discussion Forum Recommended Deals  QUICK LINKS Review: Full Sigma FP Review Discussion: Sigma FP Discussion Recommended Deals: Sigma FP Best Deals Files: Brochure | User Manual | Firmware Tags: Sigma FP | FP  QUICK SIGMA FP INFO Effective Pixels: 24.6MP Sensor Size: Full frame (35.9 × 23.9mm) Max Image Resolution: 6000 × 4000px Max Video Resolution: 3840 × 2160 @ 30p ISO: 100-25600 Dynamic Range: No Data Color Depth: 14 bit Lens Mount: Leica L Card Slots: 1× SDXC Battery Type: BP-51 Weight: 422g / 0.931lb Warranty: Limited 1-Year List Price: US $ | UK £ | DE € Current Price: Sigma FP Price  DESCRIPTION Sigma FP is equipped with a 24.6MP BSI CMOS sensor with a traditional Bayer filter that will allow you to work in the ISO 100-25600 range, which we will additionally extend to ISO 6-102,400. To enable the camera to record longer materials at higher resolutions, the manufacturer has implemented a special heat removal system from the sensor. The camera is not equipped with any type of mechanical shutter, everything is done here on the basis of an electronic shutter. Burst mode takes photos at a speed of 18fps in JPEG format and 12 photos in RAW format. Autofocus is a DFD (Depth from Defocus) system based on contrast detection, a well known from Panasonic cameras. Which in its latest installment allows you to detect faces around the eyes. The autofocus sensitivity is estimated at -5EV. Sigma FP does not have a built-in viewfinder, but only a 3.2in LCD touch screen that provides convenient preview and control over the camera's functions. FP records photos at a resolution of 6000 × 4000px in RAW and JPEG formats. At the same time, it gives us the option of using color presets such as LUT boards with the option of adjusting their intensity. For this we have HDR mode, which works in both photo and movie modes. The camera also has very advanced video features. FP allows you to record 12-bit materials in RAW (DNG) format in 4K resolution at 24fps provided external recorders are used. In the case of internal recording, we can record in 4k to 30fps resolution as well as in FHD resolution up to 120fps. The camera is equipped with one SD card, HDMI port, microphone connector and USB 3.1. The Sigma FP magnesium body is weather sealed and weighs only 422g (0.93lb) at 113 × 70 × 45mm (4.45 × 2.76 × 1.77in), which makes it the smallest and lightest full frame camera on the market right now. Another unique feature of the camera is its modularity. To the body itself, we can attach such accessories as: Hand Grip (HG-11), Large Hand Grip (HG-21), Base Grip (BG-11). The list of these accessories will probably grow thanks to third party companies getting involved.  PHOTOS OF SIGMA FP  SIGMA FP VIDEO REVIEW  COMPARISON WITH SIMILAR CAMERAS Sigma FP due to its specificity does not have cameras with which it could be compared. The camera looks like a classic compact, which is made of magnesium and plastic alloys. The G5 Mark II has two separate knobs, one for selecting the modes second for adjusting exposure compensation. The lens also has a focus adjustment ring. There is also a HDMI output without compression, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, a pop-up flash and a menu layout inspired by Canon EOS cameras, as well as extensive personalization capabilities, thanks to which we can quickly set the most appropriate parameters. As for a compact camera, the whole structure is extremely lightweight and weighs only 340g. The first is the previous model, the Canon PowerShot G5 X, which gives way to this model mainly in terms of video function. This camera is available used or new at a very attractive price. The second alternative for this model will be the camera that premiered the same day or the Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III. Here the main difference lies in the lack of a built-in electronic viewfinder in this model. However, the difference in price is quite clear and it is worth considering if the lack of a viewfinder is worth as much as $150. This system consists of 11 elements arranged in 9 groups. Among them, we find a two-sided aspherical lens, a one-sided aspherical UA element, a one-sided aspherical lens and one UD element. The lens is also stabilized. For recording the image in this camera corresponds to a 1 inch (13.2 × 8.8mm) sensor powered by BSI-CMOS technology with a very universal resolution of 20.1MP (2.41μm pixel size sensor), which is supported by a DIGIC 8 processor. This processor will allow for smooth and a fast experience when working with the camera. The sensor allows you to work with ISO 125-12800 sensitivity but with some limitations. G7 X Mark III allows us to take pictures in resolution 5472×3648px in JPEG and RAW formats as well as in many other sizes and image ratios. The camera, of course, also records videos with a resolution of 4K 30p without crop (with the support of electronic image stabilization) or slow motion movies at 120fps with FHD resolution. In addition, the camera provides quite a breakthrough when using the live streaming function and the vertical recording function that allows you to create materials tailored directly to social media or when filming in HDR mode, which will provide a greater dynamic range of recorded materials. When it comes to autofocus, the Canon G7 X Mark III is equipped with a contrast detection AF with face detection, which should be precise even when focusing on fast-moving objects. Unfortunately, Canon has decided not to use the proven DualPixel AF known from high-end cameras. The shutter in this camera allows you to take pictures at a speed of up to 30fps (in the "burst" mode using an electronic shutter) or 8fps with full autofocus support. The fastest mechanical shutter speed is 1/2000sec, and in electronic mode up to 1/25600sec, unfortunately only in TV, M, and Manual Movie Modes modes. Canon G7 X Mark III does not have a viewfinder, but only a 3" upward-facing display made in TFT LCD technology with a resolution of 1,040,000 points, which has a touch functions. The camera is made of a magnesium alloy and a plastic. It has a built-in pop-up flash and an interestingly solved knob for selecting shooting modes and exposure compensation. Another interesting feature is the built-in ND filter, which is more and more often recognized in Canon cameras. As befits the G7 X Mark III, also has HDMI output without compression, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, and menu layout inspired by Canon EOS cameras. When you connect the PowerShot G7 X Mark III to your mobile device, the camera automatically receives GPS coordinates for your photos, making it easier to mark images in the media gallery or social media.  PHOTOS OF CANON POWERSHOT G7 X MARK III  CANON POWERSHOT G7 X MARK III VIDEO REVIEW  COMPARISON WITH SIMILAR CAMERAS The table below lists the specifications of the Canon G7 X Mark III with its predecessor, the Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II from 2016 and the model that premiered with this camera, the Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II. 19. Some time has passed since the premiere of Canon PowerShot G5 X and today the producer decided to show a new version of the camera, calling it Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II - what a surprise. The camera has been equipped with the 1" BSI-CMOS sensor with the resolution of 20.1MP, supported by the efficient processor from the DIGIC 8 series which is to guarantee high efficiency and speed of work. This set enables taking photographs with the maximum ISO sensitivity of 12800 and the speed of 30f/s with the use of the electronic shutter, or with the speed of 8f/s with full autofocus support. 1). Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II When it comes to the autofocus, the camera is equipped with phase detection and the AF+MF function, with a possibility of image focusing in the automatic mode. We also have the in-built ND filter (!) at our disposal, which is going to prove useful while working on sunny days. G5 X Mark II enables recording films in 4K with the speed of 30f/s as well as recording slow-motion films with the speed of 120f/s. Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II has been equipped with the in-built universal 8.8-44mm lens (equivalent of 24-120mm for full frame) and the variable light of f/1.8-2.8. 2). Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II Still, the biggest change in comparison to the camera's predecessor is the construction of the new camera. The previous model resembled the camera with the optical viewfinder whereas the new model looks like a popular compact camera. Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II has a retractable electronic viewfinder with the resolution of 2.36 million points and 100% frame coverage. What's more, we also get a touch 3'' TFT LCD screen with the resolution of 1,040,000 points, which can be rotated upwards, thanks to which we may see ourselves while video blogging. The function wheel which, apart from basic photography modes, has a separate exposition compensation knob, also looks interesting. 3). Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II weighs 340g and it has in-built Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, pop-up flash and the HDMI output. The camera is to appear on sale in August and it will cost $899. You can check actual Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II price here.
  20. I think most of you don't know who Jason Lanier or Ken Weller are, but of you look for information concerning photography or photography equipment on YouTube, you've probably stumbled upon these youtubers. Jason Lanier has a channel with more than 300k subscribers and a few days ago he was accused of sexually assaulting one model. Of course, Jason addressed this issue in a very convincing way, but other former models have also started to talk about their experiences with the YouTube "star" and we may get the impression that several people cannot lie... Below, you will find all videos which appeared online since the beginning of the scandal, thanks to which everyone may form their own opinion. It all started with this post... 21. Together with the premiere of Tamron 35-150mm f/2.8-4 and 17-28mm f/2.8 III, the company has announced the lens which is supposed to be the “embodiment of the whole existing experience of the producer with regard to the optical production”. On 3rd June, the producer presented its latest baby, namely Tamron SP 35 mm f/1.4 Di USD. Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD consists of 14 elements placed in 10 groups. Among them, there are 3 LD (Low Dispersion) lenses and 3 made of GM (Glass Molded Aspherical), which are to effectively eliminate chromatic aberration which is a common problem of bright lenses. A new-generation coating, BBAR has also been used in the lens. The lens is to provide uncompromising resolution within the whole frame, irrespective of the selected aperture. The 9-blade aperture with the nominal hole of f/1.4 is responsible for the image plasticity. The USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) is responsible for quick and precise work. 1). Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD has been, of course, sealed. Besides that, the front lens possesses a fluorite coating based on a newly-developed fluorine compound with high properties which repel water and oil. Thanks to this, the surface of the lens is easier to clean and it is less susceptible to dirt and humidity. The lens also enables screwing the filters with the diameter of 72mm, similarly to other fixed lenses of the series. Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD will be available with the Nikon F and Canon EF mounts – respectively, at the end of June and at the end of July, for $899.
  22. We've known for a few months that Nikon has been working on the eye AF function, but a few days ago this function became widely available thanks to the firmware update to 2.0. The function works both in the case of AF-S measurement and AF-C measurement. In the case of detecting eyes of many people, one can use the multi-function selector or additional selector and choose the eye on which the focus should be adjusted. What's more, Nikon has increased the sensitivity of the whole AF system to the value of -2 EV in Z 7, and to the value of -3,5 EV in Z 6. Another novelty is individual exposition measurement for full frame, conducted in a quick continuous shooting series. Online materials which are available up to this point present very positive opinions about eye AF in the AF-S mode. Unfortunately, this function works much worse in the case of the autofocus in the AF-C mode. Still, Nikon deserves recognition since it managed to implement this function to the first series of mirrorless cameras (it seems, a bit under the pressure of users) although it wasn't its plan during the premieres of Z 6 and Z 7. You can download firmware v2.0 for the Z6 and Z7, head on over to the Nikon Download Center.
