The BIONZ X processor enables work with the speed of 10f/s (8f/s in the electronic shutter mode) and saving up to 177 JPEG photographs and 89 RAW photographs during ones shooting. In contrast to the predecessor, we can use the menu while processing photographs. 2). Sony A7 III The autofocus is an effective system based on 693 phase-detection points and 425 contrast-detection points, which cover 93% of the frame. The autofocus is supposed to effectively track the eye of the photographed person in the continuous shooting mode AF-C. 3). Sony A7 III As could be expected frorm the Alfa series, the camera is also equipped with advanced video functions. It enables full-frame video recording in 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) with the speed of 30f/s (unfortunately, not 60f/s). 18. Panasonic Lumix GX9 Announcement

Panasonic LUMIX GX9 is a new version of Lumix GX8 which had its premiere 3 years ago. Although the changes between the two cameras may not be seen at first glance, there are significant differences between them when it comes to the inside part. Although the camera is equipped with a sensor known from the previous model (the resolution of 20.3Mp), there is no low-pass filter in the newest version, which is surely going to influence the sharpness of photographs in a positive way. The new sensor will make it possible to take photographs with the ISO sensitivity of 2560. The used sensor is supported by a well-known Venus Engine processor, which works with the maximum speed of 9 f/s (AFS mode) or 6 f/s in the continuous mode. 1). Panasonic Lumix GX9 The 49-point phase-detection autofocus system is responsible for focusing. It uses DFD technology known from other Panasonic cameras. GX9 is also equipped with a new 5-axis image stabilization system - Dual I.S. This solution is known from the top Panasonic cameras and it applies the O.I.S. (2-axis optical stabilization) and B.I.S. functions (5-axis body stabilization). As a result, Dual I.S. is supposed to effectively compensate for movements with 4x longer periods of shutter opening. The camera has both mechanical and electronic shutters. 2). Panasonic Lumix GX9 Panasonic couldn't, of course, let down the film-makers. GX9 can record films in 4K, with the resolution of 3840×2160 and the speed of 30p/25p. In the camera, we will also find the 45 Photo function, which offers special photoraphy modes, based on film-making functions. The camera has built-in connective functions: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, which ensure greater flexibility while taking photographs and enable their immediate sharing. 3). Panasonic Lumix GX9 When it comes to the construction, Lumix GX9 is a bit smaller and lighter (124x72.1x46.8mm and 450g) than its predecessor. In the upper panel we can find a built-in flash. Apart from that, in order to facilitate the control of the camera, a re-designed focusing lever, which enables switching between AFS (AFF), AFC and manual focusing. has been applied. What is more, GX9 uses a new LVF viewfinder (Live View Finder). The viewfinder is equipped with the eye sensor which starts focusing immediately after putting your eye against the LVF viewfinder. In the back panel, there is a 3'' touch screen with the resolution of around 1240k points and almost 100% field of view. However, the way of mounting has changed. In the previous generation, the screen was fully folding and rotating - now, it can only be folded up and slightly down. Panasonic Lumix GX9 is to be available on sale at the beginning of March. The camera with the 12-60mm f/3.5-5.6 lens will cost $999.

  21. Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art Announcement

Sigma has presented its latest baby - the 14-24 mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art lens. The lens, thanks to the use of the newest technologies, is supposed to determine a completely new standard on the market of wide-angle lenses. Optically, the lens is to be adjusted to the requirements of sensors with a huge number of megapixels, which are more and more often used in cameras. The sensors used in Nikon D850 or Canon 5Ds easily show the weaknesses of the optical system. 1). Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art Inside the latest Sigma zoom, we are going to find an advanced optical system consisting of 17 elements placed in 11 groups. Three of them are FLD lenses, the next three are made of low-dispersion SLD glass and there are also three aspherical elements. As a result, the lens should offer perfect contrast and image quality of high resolution. Besides that, each lens has been covered with anti-reflective coatings which are supposed to ensure effective elimination of light leaks and flares. 2). Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art - Construction The lens is equipped with a 9-blade round aperture. The angle of view of Sigma 14-24 mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art (for full frame) is 114.2°-84.1°, and the maximum zoom is 1:5.4. The thing that the producer is proud of is minimal distortion, at the level of 1% (if we adjust focus to infinity), which is certainly a great achievement when it comes to ultra-wide lenses. The photographers using this lens for architecture photography will be extremely satisfied. A quick and precise HSM motor has been used in the lens. It enables any kind of focusing of a photographed scene, without a need to switch to the MF mode. The minimum focus distance is 26-28cm. 3). Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art Sigma 14-24 mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art is the first of the producer's lenses from the Art series which has seallings. Possibly, a competitive company - Tamron - has forced Sigma to do this since they have often used this fact in their marketing materials. The new Sigma is fully sealed, which should be obvious if the lens is to be used by landscape photographers. Besides that, the lens should also satisfy film-makers. In order to meet the expectations of such users, the authorized service of the producer offers a payable replacement of a tulip solar cover for the wheel cover, which makes it easier to mount additional accessories. The lens will be available with Sigma, Nikon and Canon mounts. The lens is also compatible with the MC-11 converter, thanks to which Sony users will have possibilities of connecting the lens with the Canon mount. Unfortunately, we don't know the price and the date of availability of the 14-24 mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art model. 4). Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art - Sample Photo 5). With the use of a new battery, we will be able to take 450 photographs. 3). Fujifilm X-A5 Fujifilm X-A5 will be available in three color versions: black, brown and pink.
