Voigtlander Nokton Classic 35mm f/1.4 FE Lens for Sony E-Mount Will Start Shipping on February 15th The new Voigtlander Nokton Classic 35mm f/1.4 FE lens for Sony E-mount is expected to start shipping on February 15th.     Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Announcement

    Sigma has announced a new 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary lens, designed for the cameras with APS-C and Micro Four Thirds sensor. It is a second model (after 30mm f/1.4) designed for this system. We had to wait for it for more than one and a half years. The optical system is based on 16 elements placed in 13 groups, among which we will find 2 asheric lenses and 5 low-dispersion lenses (FLD and SLD). The lens is of course supposed to offer the highest possible optical quality and focus within the whole frame. 1). Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN The autofocus motor is to enable smooth and fast focus adjustment, which is to positively influence film-making. The minimum focus distance is 25cm. The lens is equipped with a 9-blade aperture. It is also sealed against dust and weather conditions. The lens has the dimensions of 72×92mm and it weighs 405g. 2).     Zeiss Milvus 25mm f/1.4 Announcement

    Milvus 25mm f/1.4 is the newest Zeiss lens, designed having in mind architecture and landscape photographers and movie-makers. As could be expected from a Milvus lens, unique image quality is to be its characteristic trait. Zeiss Milvus 25mm f/1.4 is the eleventh lens from the series of full-frame manual lenses designed for trouble-free performance with the cameras having high resolution sensors. 1). Zeiss Milvus 25mm f/1.4 The optical system of the new representative of Milvus consists of 15 elements placed in 13 groups. Among the special elements used in the system, we will find two aspheric lenses and 7 special anomalous partial dispersion lenses. 2). Zeiss Milvus 25mm f/1.4 The characteristic trait of the Milvus series is a focusing ring with matte finish whose full rotation is 172 degrees and which is to help in convenient, precise and exceptionally smooth focusing. 3). Zeiss Milvus 25mm f/1.4 The advanced optical has been closed in a metal tubus, which has the dimensions of 123mm x 95mm and it weights 1225g. It is worth noting that the new lens has been additionally sealed against weather conditions. 4). Zeiss Milvus 25mm f/1.4 Zeiss Milvus 25mm f/1.4 will be available on sale with Canon EF and Nikon F mounts at the beginning of November. The suggested price of the lens is $2399.

    Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 FE Announcement

    Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 FE is a proof that the company has treated the development of the series of lenses with autofocus for full-frame Sony E system very seriously. Three lenses are already available on the market, and the next one has just joined them. Similarly to the previous ones, it has been designed having in mind both enthusiasts and professional photographers, who do not want to spend fortune on the systemic Sony lenses. The optical system consisting of 11 elements placed in 9 groups is responsible for image quality. Among the elements, we can find 2 aspherical lenses and 2 high-refractive ones. Some of the lenses are covered with Ultra Multi Coating, which minimizes the emergence of light leaks and lens flares. The used optical system and 9-blade aperture are to generate unique image plasticity with soft blurrings and pleasant bokeh effect. 1). Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 FE The lens is also equipped with an improved autofocus system – LSM (Linear Super sonic Motor), which is supposed to be quieter, faster and more precise. It is also supposed to work in harder lighting conditions. The lens weights 645g and possibly does not have any sealings. 2). Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 FE New Samyang, thanks to its minimalist design, is very similar to Sony lenses and it will certainly cooperate with full-frame mirrorless cameras of the producer. We don’t know the exact price of the lens yet, but we can expect it to be below $600, so around $1000 less than Sony Distagon T* FE 35mm f/1.40 ZA.

    Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 Announcement

    Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 is yet another Zeiss lens which enlarges the series of manual lenses intended to be used with full-frame Nikon and Canon cameras. Professional Milvus family are designed to work without any problems with the cameras having high resolution sensors. Inside the new 35 model, we will find 14 optical elements placed in 11 groups, including 5 lenses made of special glass and one aspherical element. Such an advanced optical system should translate into the above-average image resolution, high contrast and proper color transfer. Thanks to the use of special elements, chromatic aberration is almost non-existent in this lens. What's more, due to anti-reflection coatings, the lens should fulfill its role perfectly in the contrasting lighting conditions. 1). Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 Thanks to f/1.4 aperture, we will be able to successfully separate a photographed object of its background and achieve bokeh as well as the malleable blur of out-of-focus parts. The minimum focus distance is 30 cm. The advanced optical system has been enclosed in the tube made of metal, which is additionally sealed against the influence of weather conditions. 2). Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 will be available on sale with Nikon and Canon mounts already in July this year. It will cost around $2000.

    Nikon AF-S Nikkor 28mm f/1.4E ED Announcement

    Nikon has just presented a prime, wide-angle AF-S Nikkor 28mm f/1.4E ED lens, which can work with both FX and DX sensors. The lens is a perfect choice for both portrait and landscape photography and, as the producer assures, that lens reproduces the natural expansion of a space. 1). Nikon AF-S Nikkor 28mm f/1.4E ED The lens consists of 14 elements placed in 11 groups, including two lenses made of ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass, and three aspherical ones. The lens is equipped with a 9-blade aperture, thanks to which it should create beautiful bokeh. A well-known Silent Wave Motor (SWM) is responsible for adjusting focus. The lens is also equipped with Rear Focusing System (RF), thanks to which the lenses placed at the rear are the only moving elements so the lens does not change its length during the adjustment of focus. The minimum focus distance is 0.92 ft. (0.28m). 2). Nikon AF-S Nikkor 28mm f/1.4E ED Lens Construction Nikon AF-S Nikkor 28mm f/1.4E ED weighs 22.8oz. (645g), has the dimensions of 3.2x3.9in. (83x100.5mm) and is, of course, sealed. The lens is available on pre-sale and it costs $2100.

    Voigtländer Nokton Classic 35mm f/1.4 Announcement

    The last lens having its premiere today on CP+ photography fair is Voigtländer Nokton Classic 35mm f/1.4. The lens was designed to be used in reportage and documentary photography. The lens, thanks to its construction, is to ensure perfect focus and unique bokeh. 1). Voigtländer Nokton Classic 35mm f/1.4 These are, unfortunately, all pieces of information given by the producer. We don’t know the date of availability or the price of the lens.
