  1. Sigma likes to surprise and despite the fact that the company's cameras are quite niche products, it constantly develops them. The L system has been extended to include a very interesting camera, which is currently the smallest and lightest system full frame camera on the market. 1). Sigma FP - Front The camera is equipped with a 24.6 million BSI CMOS sensor with a traditional Bayer filter that will allow you to work in the ISO 100-25600 range, which will be further expanded to ISO 6-102400. 2). Sigma FP - Back The camera has not been equipped with any type of mechanical shutter - everything is done here based on an electronic shutter. As a result, we get a serial mode with a speed of 18 fps. The system itself was based, unfortunately, only on contrast detection, but if thanks to cooperation with Panasonic Sigma it was possible to gain access to DFD technology. In addition, the camera will allow the recording of 12-bit video in RAW (DNG) format at 4K resolution at 24fps. We can get such possibilities when using external recorders. 3). Sigma FP - Top However, the new Sigma is more than just an interesting specification and small size. The manufacturer presents the new model as a camera that breaks down barriers and gives users unprecedented freedom. To support your words, soon there will be a number of optional accessories and modules extending the body, including grips, viewfinder for the LCD screen or lamp holders with hot shoe. So maybe in the future we will also see the optional electronic viewfinder. Users will certainly be pleased by the fact that the body has been completely sealed against dust and splashes. The new Sigma FP is expected to appear on the market this fall.

    Sigma FP

Sigma FP is a very interesting proposition from a company mainly specializing in the production of high-class lenses. This camera breaks barriers, being the smallest and lightest camera on the market today, introduces quite modest modularity to photography, which was previously reserved only for video cameras. The camera has also been deprived of a mechanical shutter, which is a very bold move on the part of Sigma.  TABLE OF CONTENTS Quick Links Quick Info Description Photos of the Camera Video Review Comparison with Similar Cameras Full Technical Specification Image Samples Video Sample Full Review Discussion Forum Recommended Deals  QUICK LINKS Review: Full Sigma FP Review Discussion: Sigma FP Discussion Recommended Deals: Sigma FP Best Deals Files: Brochure | User Manual | Firmware Tags: Sigma FP | FP  QUICK SIGMA FP INFO Effective Pixels: 24.6MP Sensor Size: Full frame (35.9 × 23.9mm) Max Image Resolution: 6000 × 4000px Max Video Resolution: 3840 × 2160 @ 30p ISO: 100-25600 Dynamic Range: No Data Color Depth: 14 bit Lens Mount: Leica L Card Slots: 1× SDXC Battery Type: BP-51 Weight: 422g / 0.931lb Warranty: Limited 1-Year List Price: US $ | UK £ | DE € Current Price: Sigma FP Price  DESCRIPTION Sigma FP is equipped with a 24.6MP BSI CMOS sensor with a traditional Bayer filter that will allow you to work in the ISO 100-25600 range, which we will additionally extend to ISO 6-102,400. To enable the camera to record longer materials at higher resolutions, the manufacturer has implemented a special heat removal system from the sensor. The camera is not equipped with any type of mechanical shutter, everything is done here on the basis of an electronic shutter. Burst mode takes photos at a speed of 18fps in JPEG format and 12 photos in RAW format. Autofocus is a DFD (Depth from Defocus) system based on contrast detection, a well known from Panasonic cameras. Which in its latest installment allows you to detect faces around the eyes. The autofocus sensitivity is estimated at -5EV. Sigma FP does not have a built-in viewfinder, but only a 3.2in LCD touch screen that provides convenient preview and control over the camera's functions. FP records photos at a resolution of 6000 × 4000px in RAW and JPEG formats. At the same time, it gives us the option of using color presets such as LUT boards with the option of adjusting their intensity. For this we have HDR mode, which works in both photo and movie modes. The camera also has very advanced video features. FP allows you to record 12-bit materials in RAW (DNG) format in 4K resolution at 24fps provided external recorders are used. In the case of internal recording, we can record in 4k to 30fps resolution as well as in FHD resolution up to 120fps. The camera is equipped with one SD card, HDMI port, microphone connector and USB 3.1. The Sigma FP magnesium body is weather sealed and weighs only 422g (0.93lb) at 113 × 70 × 45mm (4.45 × 2.76 × 1.77in), which makes it the smallest and lightest full frame camera on the market right now. Another unique feature of the camera is its modularity. To the body itself, we can attach such accessories as: Hand Grip (HG-11), Large Hand Grip (HG-21), Base Grip (BG-11). The list of these accessories will probably grow thanks to third party companies getting involved.  PHOTOS OF SIGMA FP  SIGMA FP VIDEO REVIEW  COMPARISON WITH SIMILAR CAMERAS Sigma FP due to its specificity does not have cameras with which it could be compared.
