Together with the premiere of Tamron 35-150mm f/2.8-4 and 17-28mm f/2.8 III, the company has announced the lens which is supposed to be the “embodiment of the whole existing experience of the producer with regard to the optical production”. On 3rd June, the producer presented its latest baby, namely Tamron SP 35 mm f/1.4 Di USD. Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD consists of 14 elements placed in 10 groups. Among them, there are 3 LD (Low Dispersion) lenses and 3 made of GM (Glass Molded Aspherical), which are to effectively eliminate chromatic aberration which is a common problem of bright lenses. A new-generation coating, BBAR has also been used in the lens. The lens is to provide uncompromising resolution within the whole frame, irrespective of the selected aperture. The 9-blade aperture with the nominal hole of f/1.4 is responsible for the image plasticity. The USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) is responsible for quick and precise work. 1). Thanks to this, the surface of the lens is easier to clean and it is less susceptible to dirt and humidity. The lens also enables screwing the filters with the diameter of 72mm, similarly to other fixed lenses of the series. Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD will be available with the Nikon F and Canon EF mounts – respectively, at the end of June and at the end of July, for $899.
