  1. Together with the premiere of Tamron 35-150mm f/2.8-4 and 17-28mm f/2.8 III, the company has announced the lens which is supposed to be the “embodiment of the whole existing experience of the producer with regard to the optical production”. On 3rd June, the producer presented its latest baby, namely Tamron SP 35 mm f/1.4 Di USD. Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD consists of 14 elements placed in 10 groups. Among them, there are 3 LD (Low Dispersion) lenses and 3 made of GM (Glass Molded Aspherical), which are to effectively eliminate chromatic aberration which is a common problem of bright lenses. A new-generation coating, BBAR has also been used in the lens. The lens is to provide uncompromising resolution within the whole frame, irrespective of the selected aperture. The 9-blade aperture with the nominal hole of f/1.4 is responsible for the image plasticity. The USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) is responsible for quick and precise work. 1). Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD has been, of course, sealed. Besides that, the front lens possesses a fluorite coating based on a newly-developed fluorine compound with high properties which repel water and oil. Thanks to this, the surface of the lens is easier to clean and it is less susceptible to dirt and humidity. The lens also enables screwing the filters with the diameter of 72mm, similarly to other fixed lenses of the series. Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD will be available with the Nikon F and Canon EF mounts – respectively, at the end of June and at the end of July, for $899.
  2. The offer of Tamron’s lenses is continuously expanding. The producer takes into account the customers’ expectations and it will introduce 3 new lenses on the market: 35-150mm f/2.8-4, 35mm f/1.4 and 17-28mm f/2.8 III in the coming months. The offer will be targeted at both the users of reflex and mirrorless cameras. Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 III RXD The first from the lenses described today is dedicated for use with mirrorless Sony cameras. 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD will enable taking sharp photographs from the distance of 19cm. The RXD stepper motor is to ensure quick and silent AF work (also during film-making). The lens is a budget alternative for systemic zooms. 1). Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 III RXD Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD The SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD lens is targeted at more advanced users of Tamron reflex cameras. The lens is to be characterized by perfect resolution, quick AF and resistant body construction. The new structure is to embody the producer’s experience gathered during the 40-year production of this series of lenses. 2). Tamron SP 35mm f/1.4 Di USD Tamron 35-150mm f/2.8-4 Di VC OSD The lens, referred to by the producer as a “portrait zoom”, will probably not be used only within this narrow field, but it will also fulfil its role as a travel lens. The optical system will consist of aspherical and low-dispersion lenses, which is to ensure very good image quality within the whole range of focal lengths. It will be equipped with the optical stabilization system. 3). Tamron 35-150mm f/2.8-4 Di VC OSD The lenses are to appear on sale in the middle of the year. Their prices are not known yet.
