  5. The Tamron 11-20mm f / 2.8 Di III-A2 RXD is an ultra-wide lens designed for Sony APS-C cameras. The lens offers a full frame equivalent of 16.5 - 30mm. The lens is small 3.4 in (86.2 mm) long and its diameter is 2.87 in (73 mm). The lens weight is 11.8 oz (335 g) and it consists 12 elements in 10 groups, the shutter consists of 7 blades and the thread for attaching the filters is 67mm. The minimum focus distance is just 5.9 inches (15mm). The magnification ratio is 1: 4 - and 9.4 inches (24 cm) when magnified. The lens is resistant to moisture. A bit disappointing is the lack of VC (vibration control) to stabilize recorded video. Thanks to the use of RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) motors autofocus noise should not be a problem. The lens is expected to go on sale June 24 at a price of $829.
